SEN support plans, made simple.

Assistant SENDCo guides teachers through Assess, Plan, Do and Review, coaches every plan as you write it — grounded in the SEND Code of Practice — and keeps pupils' data encrypted on your school's own devices.

The work nobody sees.

If you run SEND in a mainstream school, this is your week:

The blank page.

A class teacher with no SEND training opens an empty plan template — and doesn't know what "good" looks like.

The chase.

Review dates live in a spreadsheet. Overdue plans get chased by email. Again.

The doubt.

Nobody quite knows whether the plans would stand up until someone external reads them.

The scattered files.

Some of the most sensitive data a school holds sits across Word documents, attachments and shared drives.

Assistant SENDCo was built to take that week back.

One connected cycle, not four documents.

Each term follows the Assess–Plan–Do–Review cycle from the SEND Code of Practice. The tool runs the whole loop — so nothing lives in a drawer between reviews.

1

Assess

Where is the pupil now?

Record baseline using structured prompts and professional judgement. Last term's achieved outcomes are offered here as starting points — added with one click when you choose.

2

Plan

What will they achieve?

Set SMART outcomes. Inline guidance flags vague language, missing timeframes, and unmeasurable targets as you type.

3

Do

What support will help?

Select from hundreds of evidence-informed provisions organised by area of need, or add your own. Each includes frequency, agent, and detail.

4

Review

How much progress?

Review each outcome and provision. Unmet outcomes carry forward to the next term with one click.

Each term repeats the cycle
  • Write: guided, step-by-step — no SEND expertise required.
  • Check: live quality coaching as you type, with sources cited.
  • Oversee: the whole school on one dashboard, without the server ever seeing a pupil's name.
  • Export: a formatted Word document in one click, produced in your browser.
THE QUALITY ENGINE

Coaching built in. Not a black box.

As a teacher writes, every plan is checked against quality guidance drawn from the SEND Code of Practice, EEF research and Ofsted expectations. Vague outcomes, missing timeframes and thin provision get flagged in the moment — with a plain-English suggestion and the source it came from.

Behind it sits a reproducible 0–100 quality score with a category breakdown and specific fixes. The same plan gets the same score, every time — an auditable standard, not an opinion. And none of it uses AI: the checks run entirely in your browser, with no data sent anywhere.

  • Source-cited, not generated
  • Same plan, same score, every time
  • Runs on your device — no AI, no network
PRIVATE-BY-DESIGN OVERSIGHT

See your whole school. We never see a child.

The SENDCo Dashboard shows average plan quality, reviews due and overdue, cohort patterns by year group and area of need, provision insights and a prioritised action list — across every plan in the school.

Plan data only ever decrypts on your school's own devices, using keys your school holds. Our servers store it encrypted — pupil names are never visible to us. And it works both ways: teachers can see when one of their plans has been viewed.

  • Whole-school view for the SENDCo
  • Encrypted to everyone outside your school, including us
  • Teachers see who has viewed their plans

The everyday essentials

Guided APDR workflow

A clear path through every section, term by term. Teachers always know what to write next — and why it matters.

Provision Library

Hundreds of evidence-informed provisions organised by the four SEND Code of Practice areas of need, personalised with the pupil's name and pronouns in one click.

Living plans

Unmet outcomes are offered for the next term at the push of a button, so you never re-type them — and nothing changes unless you choose it. Provisions persist until you change them. The plan grows with the pupil instead of starting from scratch.

Export to Word

One click produces a formatted Word document, generated entirely in your browser, ready for parents and reviews. It exports to your chosen template, and we can tailor the format on consultation.

Plans that stay alive.

Most support plans are written once, filed, and rediscovered the week before a review. Here, each term's Review feeds the next term's Assess: what wasn't met is offered forward at the push of a button, what worked persists, and the record of what you tried — and what happened — builds up term by term. Nothing changes in the next term unless you choose it.

AI that helps. And knows its place.

You'll notice AI is a long way down this page. That's deliberate.

  • Optional, and off by default. AI starts switched off. Using it requires explicit consent, renewed each session.
  • It only ever sees anonymised text. Names, dates, contact details and diagnoses are removed before anything leaves your device.
  • It never decides anything. AI can draft a first version of an outcome or suggest provisions — every suggestion is reviewed and accepted or rejected by the teacher.
  • Your school is in charge. A SENDCo can switch AI off for everyone, in one setting.
  • Nothing is used for training. Data sent to the AI provider is not used to train models and is deleted after 30 days.

And the quality engine that checks every plan? It uses no AI at all.

Built to pass your DPO's questions.

SEND plans are some of the most sensitive data a school holds. We built for that from day one — so your data protection officer gets answers, not assurances.

Encrypted on your device

Plan data is encrypted in your browser with AES-256 before it ever reaches our servers. Even we can't read it.

UK data residency

Pupil plan data is stored in the UK (London).

Mandatory multi-factor authentication

Every account, no exceptions.

Access transparency

Cross-user access is logged, and teachers can see when their plans have been viewed.

  2. We set up your school

The data-protection paperwork is agreed with your DPO first.

  3. Your SENDCo holds the keys

Your SENDCo generates the school's encryption key and invites staff.

  4. Teachers write guided plans

Quality coaching appears beside the plan as they type.

  5. The school stays on top

Oversight for the SENDCo, exports for reviews, and each term carries forward into the next.

Built by a teacher who has spent a decade making mainstream classrooms work for every child.

Pilot places are available for UK mainstream schools.

The questions schools actually ask.

Is our pupils' data safe?

Plan data is encrypted on your own devices before it reaches our servers, using keys your school holds — we cannot read it. It's stored in the UK, every account uses multi-factor authentication, and our full DPIA and a signed Data Processing Agreement are available for your DPO.

Can we get our data back — or deleted?

Yes. Your school stays in control: plans export to Word at any time, and if you leave, your data is deleted on request. You're never locked in.

Does the AI see pupil names?

No. AI is optional and off by default, and it only ever sees anonymised text — names, dates, contact details and diagnoses are removed before anything leaves your device.

Does AI make decisions about children?

No. It can draft a suggestion; a teacher reads it and accepts or rejects it. Nothing in the product makes an automated decision about a child.

Will it produce our local authority's format?

It exports to your chosen template, and we can tailor the format on consultation.

Do teachers need SEND training to use it?

No — that's the point. The builder guides every section, and the quality coaching explains what's missing and why, in plain English, with sources.

Is this another system to maintain?

It runs in the browser — nothing to install — and everything exports to Word, so it fits the filing and review processes you already have.

What does it cost?
